There is barely a work of literature
that has been as misconstrued
as the Karma Sutra.
The first translated edition
was published in Europe in 1884.
And though the translator,
even back then,
omitted the really controversial bits,
namely the passages pertaining to homosexuality,
it wasn't long before it was misinterpreted
and denounced as a bawdy compendium of sexual practices.

more than a century later,
it has a similar reputation.

The fifth chapter is particularly enthralling.

The sixth practically follows on from the fifth.

the concocting of potions
for enhanced potency and sustenance.
