Hello there and welcome to a little video tutorial that I thought I'd do for the fetish community
about how to make a vac bed non-return valve.
Now, those who've ever tried vac beds without a non-return valve
will have had an amazing experience.
However, there will always have been a vacuum cleaner in the background.
And while some people might find that erotic, silence can be golden.
So, with the addition of a non-return valve to your vac bed,
it's possible to suck all the air out and then turn the vacuum cleaner off
while still keeping the vacuum.
So, here is a little way to make a non-return valve for less than £20.
Central to the assembly is this device here, which is a trap from a sink.
The older version of this would have been called a U-bend,
but this is a compact in-line version of a U-bend.
I got this from B&Q, which is an English hardware store,
and I believe this was £12.
Now, these come apart,
and inside is the actual trap that works in the sink
and provides a vapour block so the smells of the sewer don't come up.
That bit, as you see, is just hollow.
And this uses 40mm PVC drainage pipe,
which is coincidentally what most of the frames our vac beds are made from.
What we want to do is allow the vacuum cleaner to suck air out of this end
