Due to the obvious dangers, each diver was tethered by a line to the surface, set down into pretension lines.
What took place over the next half hour is not fully understood.
But what is known, is that two of the divers never made it back to the surface.
Their tethers were retrieved, but not their bodies.
The third diver however, did resurface, apparently ***** by a pluner team.
When he finally came to his senses after a couple of hours, he reported seeing strange symbols,
pentagrams etched into the walls and floors of some of the rooms on the first two levels.
On the third level, he said that in the darkness, he had seen ********* corpses strapped to chairs.
He reported that they were in a horrifying state.
Some had their abdomens ripped wide open, with all of their lynching bone,
and others, they had goat's heads attached to their bodies in place of their bone.
Whilst this was terrifying to him, he spoke in his own tones,
about how he had seen a living being, as if they were still alive.
This of course led to panic and swoon back to the surface.
He set a dark cloudy mass, and chased it through the water.
By all accounts, this man was never to see again, and was discharged from the Navy shortly afterwards.
