And the reason why I dislike it...

is because of the history of the word.

Now, originally, mistress meant the same thing as master.

They were equivalent.

Just like lady is equivalent to lord.

But time goes on and mistress acquired other connotations.

And it began to mean a kept woman.

A woman who could not handle herself and needed someone else to take care of her financially.

Now, since it could possibly mean that I am dependent on someone else...

even though I'm sure that was not your intention of the meaning...

I don't like it.

So I'd like you to come up with a different term.
