This short tutorial shows you how to monitor your iPhone with your Mac so that you can see what you are recording while using the back cameras of your phone.

Today, I'd like to present a quick tutorial on how to use your Mac as a monitor for your iPhone.

Smartphones come with multiple cameras, and the easiest camera to use while recording yourself is the selfie camera or the front camera.

So using an external monitor allows you to take advantage of the high-quality cameras on the back of the phone.

I want to note that you can totally monitor a smartphone with a PC, and I hope to go over that in a future tutorial.

But for now, if you have a Mac, plug your iPhone into the USB port using a lightning cable.

Open QuickTime, select "New Movie Recording," click on the tiny arrow next to the red record button, and in the drop-down menu, select "iPhone."

That's it! No need to press record in QuickTime. You have an instant monitor for the back camera of your iPhone.

Thanks for watching. I'm 5 Star. And if you have any requests for tutorials you'd like to see me make, shoot me a line on my website, iam5star****, or DM me @iam5star on Instagram and Twitter.
